What is it Like to Be Raised by Monks? Author Will Tell During Interview on CatholicTV

On Friday, October 30th, Seymour Lenz, author of “Raised in the South by the Benedictine Monks at St. Bernard’s Abbey” will be interviewed on the CatholicTV talk show “This is the Day”. During his interview, Mr. Lenz will discuss the unique experiences of persevering through poverty and his adventures with his childhood friends and monks. The interview will be shown live at www.CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV.

One person commented on Mr. Lenz’s book: "Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence." This delightful little read certainly exemplifies this idea. From his younger years in South Georgia until high school graduation in Cullman, Alabama, Seymour Lenz takes the reader through his trials and tribulations as he never gives up, thanks to the family he made at St Bernard's School. The author shares stories soliciting a range of emotions while maintaining a testament of hope and giving credit to the monks who helped raise him. An insightful look into life in the rural south.”

Seymour Lenz’s interview can be seen on Friday, October 30th live at 10:30AM (EST) on CatholicTV where available (rebroadcast at 8PM). The show will also be streamed simultaneously at www.CatholicTV.com and will be available on the site’s archives starting Friday night. All videos at the website are viewable in full-screen.
