John Michael Talbot Concert Among Many Musical Programs on CatholicTV

During the week starting February 28th, CatholicTV will air a John Michael Talbot concert. This concert is among many musical programs on CatholicTV including Christian rock videos, “The Joy of Music” with Diane Bish, the Catholic coffee house-style show “The Commons”, and “Going My Way”, which features singing priests, and much more.

Below are several musical programs on CatholicTV along with their air times (All times Eastern):

Going My Way: CatholicTV’s modern-day version of The Merv Griffin Show. It features Father Chris Hickey sharing his singing talent, as he is accompanied by his mentor, turned sidekick Father Paul Rouse on piano and a different guest priest for each episode. Monday 11 a.m. Tuesday 11 p.m. Thursday 8:30 p.m., Friday 5 p.m., Saturday midnight Sun 1:30 p.m.

The Commons: revealing interviews as guests discuss their songs, techniques, and living as a committed Catholic in today’s world. From a coffee-house setting, these artists provide new insights for living and new songs for prayer and worship. Wednesday 8 a.m. Thursday 3:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday 9:30 p.m.

Revolution: alternative Christian music videos and Christian artists and athletes sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through in-depth interviews. Tuesday 9:30 p.m. Thursday 1:30 a.m. Saturday 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

The Joy of Music: “The First Lady of the Organ”, as she performs from magnificent cathedrals worldwide. The Joy of Music brings viewers to historic sites around the world with a combination of favorite classics, world-renowned guests, spectacular scenery, and local traditions. Bish combines all these incredible “Sights & Sounds” and “Musical Journeys” in programs of breathtaking beauty and inspiration. Tuesday 12:30 p.m. Wednesday 12:30 p.m. Thursday 6 p.m.

CatholicTV Telethon To Air Oct 1st and 2nd and Will Include Performances By Catholic Comedian, Catholic Sisters, John Michael Talbot and More


CatholicTV’s 2010 telethon will air on Oct 1st and 2nd and will include some live and music. Musicians from different parts of the country will donate their voices for the annual telethon.

The Telethon will also include interviews of CatholicTV’s movie critics, Fathers Chip Hines and Bill Kelly, as well as an interview with Catholic filmmaker and Harvard student Matt Weber.

The Telethon will also include performances from previous telethons such as those by John Michael Talbot, Donna Lee, Gretchen Harris, and more.

In addition to music and interviews, the Telethon will also include shows from the new season at CatholicTV including the new Catholic art show “The Way of Beauty” and much more.

The 2010 telethon will air on CatholicTV from 9AM (Eastern Times) to 10PM on October 1st and will continue on October 2nd from 9AM to 10PM.

The 2010 Telethon will be viewable at CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV cable outlets.

Below is additional information about some of the musicians and interviewees who will appear on the 2010 CatholicTV Telethon.

Fr. Vern Decoteau- Catholic priest from the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts. He once performed for former President George H. Bush and his wife Barbara at their home in Maine.

The Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of the Church- Sisters from religious order started in the U.S. in 1970. Not only do the sisters have beautiful voices, they also work with the poor and aged.

Nick Alexander- Catholic comedian and musician known for his song “Should I Stand of Should I Kneel?” which is a parody of the song “Should I Stay of Should I Go?”

Fr. Chris Hickey and Fr. Paul Rouse- Both priests of the Archdiocese of Boston and stars of the CatholicTV show “Going My Way” which is a modern version of the old Merv Griffin show and includes singing, piano, and interviews.

Paul Melley- Musician who has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe including two World Youth Days. He will perform live.
