Daughter of Soldier Who Liberated A Nazi Concentration Camp Will Appear on Live CatholicTV Talk Show


On November 9th, Judy McCloskey will be featured on the CatholicTV talk show “This is the Day”.

McCloskey comes from a military family. Her father fought in WWII and even helped liberate the Nordhausen Nazi concentration camp in Germany.

In addition to raising six children and being the wife of a Navy officer, McCloskey founded a unique organization called CatholicMil, which serves personnel, chaplains and families of those serving in the US Military. The group produced a music video “In God We Trust” featuring military personnel from all over the world, the video will air during This is the Day.

This is the Day airs at 10:30AM ET at CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV cable outlets. The show is rebroadcast at 7:30PM and other times during the week.

McCloskey is also a current board member of CatholicMil. CatholicMil distributes free care packages to soldiers, and free materials to military chaplains. CatholicMil also promotes priestly vocations to the military chaplaincy, and promotes work towards the canonization of Servant of God Vincent Capodanno. Fr. Capodanno was an American Navy Chaplain who was killed in Vietnam.

Rosaries For Soldiers and Policemen? Creator Will Discuss on CatholicTV Talk Show

On September 24th, Dede Laugesen, will be interviewed on the live CatholicTV talk show “This is the Day”.

Dede and her husband Wayne are the creators of the Holy Baby! DVD series, which are Baby Einstein-style videos for babies and children except that they feature Catholic prayers.

On This is the Day, Dede will discuss rosaries which are meant for military, law enforcement, firefighters, healthcare workers and priests/religious which she and her husband sell online at therosaryproject.com.

The Rosaries are constructed using military-issue parachute chord, and are highly durable. The website says, "Run over it with a tank. It probably won't break...it being the tank."

The Holy Baby! series broadcasts on CatholicTV as part of the CatholicTV Kids Club programming block. Holy Baby! Won the 2005 Videographer Award of Distinction and a 2005 Telly Award.

Archbishop of the U.S. Military Services To Appear in Television Interview On Live CatholicTV Talk Show


On May 28th, Archbishop Timothy Broglio will be interviewed on the live CatholicTV talk show “This is the Day”. As Archbishop of the U.S. Military Services, Archbishop Broglio, along with several auxiliary bishops, oversees Catholic priests serving as military chaplains throughout the world.

This is the Day airs live at 10:30AM ET at CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV. The show is rebroadcast at 7:30PM.

Archbishop Broglio is in charge of the spiritual, pastoral and sacramental care of the 375,000 Catholic active-duty U.S. military personnel and their 800,000 family members; 200,000 Catholics in the Reserves and National Guard; 30,000 Catholic patients in 172 Veterans Affairs hospitals; and 66,000 Catholics in government service overseas in 134 countries.

Pope Benedict XVI named Broglio head of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA on November 19, 2007. The Archbishop was formally installed as such on January 25, 2008, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
Besides his native English, he is fluent in Italian, Spanish, and French

The Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, was established by Pope John Paul II in 1985 and incorporated under the laws of the State of Maryland that same year.
