Was Shakespeare Catholic? Author Will Discuss in Live Interview on CatholicTV
On July 20th, author Joseph Pearce will be interviewed on the live CatholicTV talk show “This is the Day”.
Pearce is an English-born author and professor, and a biographer who has written two books on Shakespeare with a focus on Shakespeare’s faith and its influence on his writing. He will be discussing his newest book “Through Shakespeare’s Eyes” published by Ignatius Press.
Catholic theologian Dr. Peter Kreeft said of Joseph Pearce’s book [The Quest for Shakespeare], that “In his next book Pearce will trace the consequences of Shakespeare’s Catholicism in his plays. In this book, he proves it historically. I mean proves it. (Pearce would make a formidable lawyer.) The evidence is simply overwhelming.” To learn more about Joseph Pearce and his books visit www.ignatius.com
This is the Day airs at 10:30AM ET at CatholicTV.com and on CatholicTV. The show is rebroadcast at 7:30PM.
Joseph Pearce is a Writer- in-Residence at Ave Maria University in Florida and Editor of the Ignatius Critical Editions series, a collection of classic literature accompanied by literary analysis from a variety of notable scholars.
