Entire Ordination Mass of America’s Two Newest Bishops Now Viewable at CatholicTV.com

Video of the Episcopal Ordination Mass of the Archdiocese of Boston’s Auxiliary bishops Arthur L. Kennedy, Ph.D., and Bishop Peter J. Uglietto, S.T.D., is now viewable in its entirety at CatholicTV.com.

The Mass took place on September 14th, on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, Massachusetts.

Coverage of the Mass includes commentary throughout by the President of the CatholicTV Network, Fr. Robert Reed.

Those in attendance included: Cardinal William Henry Keeler (Archbishop Emeritus of Baltimore), many bishops, clergy and religious from across the country and the Archdiocese, Metropolitan Methodios, members of the Ecumenical community, college presidents, and current and former public officials among others.

Bishop Kennedy addressed Cardinal Seán O’Malley after the Mass saying that Cardinal Seán’s support of Saint John’s Seminary (Kennedy is currently the Rector and President there), was “the central reason that we have been able to increase greatly the numbers of seminarians over these few years. I am honored that you considered me as worthy to have some share in your responsibilities in the rebuilding of the Church in the Archdiocese of Boston.”

At the conclusion of the ordination, Bishop Uglietto said, “This ordination is not about honoring individuals but highlighting roles of service. This day is not about Bishop Kennedy and me as much it is about Jesus Christ - that His mission continue. That is why we are ordained – that the Church and its mission bear fruit!”
